Christmas in Napa is an Awesome Time of Year

For a lot of us, Christmas is a time that we all like to spend with our family in a family member’s home. However, for a few, some years this just isn’t possible. Family commitments and general busyness can leave Christmas time a time without family, or perhaps a time that everyone will have to meet in a central location. While this realization can be stressful, this is a perfect time to plan a vacation. A perfect place for a vacation for two, or perhaps a meeting place for more family, is spending Christmas in Napa Valley. Napa is a top destination any time of year but Christmas is a particularly fantastic time to visit. Here are some of the fun things we at Churchill Manor love spending our free time out an about during Christmas in Napa Valley, here are some of our favorite things to do.

Starting December 5th through the 28th, Christmas in Napa Valley comes alive with the Napa Valley Holiday Lights Tour. Tickets start at $15 for children (10 and younger) and $25 for adults (11 and older) and ticket sales will benefit Foster Children of Napa County. The tour will take place on the Holiday Wine Trolley and will take participants on an 1.5 hour tour throughout Downtown Napa and Victorian neighborhoods and will show everyone the best light displays. While on the ride, enjoy holiday music from the 1890’s to the 1940’s and delicious hot cocoa. Be sure to grab the family and come out to start off your holiday season.

If you happen to have kids, or kids at heart, with you, call and make a reservation on the Santa Train. These fun rides sell out quickly so be sure and it’s easy to see why. Tickets start at $25 for Silverado, Gourmet Express, Lounge, and $45 for Vista Dome, per person. This is a quick 1.5 hour trip from Napa to Yountville and back all with Santa himself. Wrap up your pre-Christmas in Napa Valley festivities with a Christmas Eve trip to V. Sattui Winery. From 9 until 3:30, this beautiful winery will open its doors, light the fire, and have some delicious wines to taste as well as have their deli open for snacks. This is a fun, free way to see and taste what fun Christmas in Napa Valley can be.
