Top Napa County Landmarks You Don’t Want to Miss

1. Visit the Incredible Castello di Amorosa Winery

Just a little over half an hour away from our bed and breakfast is the Castello di Amorosa winery. Breathtakingly beautiful, the stunning castle and winery was built with 13th-century Tuscan architecture. Be sure to take one of their guided tours of the castle and enjoy the wine tasting afterward! It’s a dream-come-true for the owner/vintner Dario Sattui and definitely worth the trip.

2. Catch a Show at the Napa Valley Opera House

The Napa Valley Opera House is a gorgeous building in downtown Napa. As a National Historic Landmark, the opera house was originally built in 1879 and was expertly restored in 2002. Today, you can see almost every kind of show imaginable at the theater from jazz artists and country singers to stand-up comedy acts, dancers, and theatrical performances.

3. Take a Walking Tour Led by the Napa County Landmarks Foundation

Are you passionate about preserving the heritage and culture of Napa Valley? Napa County Landmarks advocates for and protects many of the historic sites in Napa. Be sure to take one of the Napa Landmarks walking tours they offer throughout the year. The destinations and dates vary, so check their page for details before booking.

4. Explore a Petrified Forest

Majestic and curious, the California Petrified Forest in Calistoga is a short 1-hour drive away and a wonderful place to spend an afternoon!
