ZD Wines’ commitment to sustainability for the last 20 years means it’s Rutherford and Carneros Estates have been certified organic for the same period by California Certified Organic Farmers. Norman deLeuze, the founder, believes “great wines are made from healthy vines.” He also believes in embracing biodiversity and solar power, as well as natural alternatives in the name of producing world-class wine without leaving a large carbon footprint behind.
You’ll be able to enjoy an array of delicious wines whenever you choose to visit. Their selection includes chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, sparkling wine, and more. Tastings run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and appointments are suggested. Tours are by appointment only. A few of their offerings include:
Eco Tour – $85 – Learn about their sustainable, organic farming practices as you meander through an Estate Cabernet Vineyard.
Vineyard View Tasting – $115 – Take a behind-the-scenes tour, which includes tastings from the barrel, before you savor samplings of wine from crystal stemware.
UnWined Tasting – $40 – Sample an array of wines from their extensive list and learn how each wine goes from grapevine to glass.

Well, thanks to their daily tastings, and tours by appointment, any day is a great day to come.
