The History of Stone Brewing Company Napa

Like most breweries, a love of artisan beer and the desire to create the best beer possible and break the mold set by industrial breweries inspired founders Greg Koch and Steve Wagner to create Stone Brewing. Since they started the business in 1996, they have since made the Inc. 500 and the Inc. 5000 lists as one of the fastest growing private companies (11 times). BeerAdvocate Magazine has also recognized the company twice.

Stone Brewing is currently the 8th largest craft brewer in the U.S. It has operations in Richmond, VA, and Berlin, Germany.

Stone Brewing Company’s Napa Valley Location

When you stay at Churchill Manor Bed and Breakfast, you’re just a 3-minute drive away from Stone Brewing. You can even walk the half-mile distance in about 10 minutes. The brewery is in a renovated stone structure built in 1877. It’s open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
