Where is Napa Valley Wine Country?

This beautiful region is located about an hour northwest of San Francisco and home to some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world. This area boasts immense diversity of beauty in the northern tip of this California region, with its rolling hills adorned with picture-perfect vineyards and the Napa River winding peacefully through the valley. Perhaps the most well-known town within Napa County is Napa itself, a historic downtown with charming shops, boutiques, restaurants and a nearly endless list of things to do and see in the surrounding areas.

What’s unique about this region is its Mediterranean climate that is only known to exist in two percent of the earth’s climate and is particularly amenable to high-end grape production. It’s the perfect place for a flourishing wine industry and a perfect place to visit any time of year.
