What You’ll Experience at Hendry Winery
The Hendry Winery is nestled on 203 sprawling acres in the low, rolling hills just northwest of Napa, at the foot of majestic Mt. Veeder. Hendry Ranch’s unique location enable it to produce a wide variety of wine grapes, which are then made into their excellent wines, which are comprised only of the finest estate-grown grapes.
You’ll need to reserve a tour of this extraordinary vineyard and winery in advance; all tours and tastings are by appointment only. You can pick from three different tour options:
10 A.M. Seminar Tour – 3 Hours | $75
If you’re looking for a more robust educational experience, the Seminar Tour is a good option. During this tour, you’ll learn about the history of Hendry Ranch and the science of grape growing and winemaking. You’ll then enjoy an intensive, guided tasting that showcases a minimum of seven current release wines.
11 A.M. Tasting – 1 to 1.5 Hours | $30
If you’re just looking to sample the different wines from Hendry Winery or if you have less time to spend, the tasting is a great option for you. A knowledgeable team member will guide you through a seated tasting of a minimum of six different kinds of Hendry wines.
2 P.M. Afternoon Tour and Tasting – 2 to 2.5 Hours | $50
The afternoon tour and tasting features an overview of Hendry Ranch’s history, a tour of the vineyard and winery, and a tasting of at least six different wines. The tour features an even balance between tour and tasting, with about an hour for each.
The fees associated with each tour can each be waived with equivalent purchase. If you’re having a hard time deciding which wine to choose, some of the more popular include the Henry Zinfandel, Henry Albarino, and Henry Merlot. Of course, the staff on hand are more than happy to help you choose the perfect wine, and no matter which you choose, you can rest assured it will be of top-notch quality.
